On or about April 26, 2024,[ Tulsa County District Attorney](https://www.citizensoverseeing.com/projects/brady-disclosure/district-attorneys/district-14) filed criminal charges \[Tulsa County [CF-2024-1559](https://www.oscn.net/dockets/GetCaseInformation.aspx?db=tulsa&number=CF-2024-1559&cmid=3686183)\] against Jonathan Hines, a juvenile detention officer who worked at [The Tulsa County Family Center for Juvenile Justice](https://www2.tulsacounty.org/government/departments-offices/family-center-for-juvenile-justice/about/) in Tulsa, OK.

On or about May 2, 2024, 2News \[[Erin Christy](https://twitter.com/Erin_Christy)\] [reported](https://www.kjrh.com/news/local-news/tulsa-juvenile-detention-officer-charged-with-human-trafficking?s=03):

> According to the affidavit, Hines acted like the toilet in the victim’s cell needed repairing, shoved a shoe in the door, and sexually assaulted the inmate. The reports detail more than one occasion.
> 
> Investigators were told Hines would get weed, snacks, and other contraband for inmates in exchange for sex and that the victim agreed to “take one for the team.”
> 
> Investigators seized Hines' cell phone. The affidavit states Hines fidgeted with the phone before handing it over and that a forensic extraction later revealed a text thread deleted at the same time frame he met with investigators.
